Work hours are reasonable and work-life balance is achievable.
Cons
1. Unreasonable treatment of term staff - VTC urges term staff to do written tests and go through interviews every year to secure a 2-year contract. Some of them could not get the 2-year contract even after 8 years. 2. No job security - term staff contracts have to be reviewed every year according to the number of new students. Some term staff have their contracts ended without renewal as short as 7 months. 3. Poor staff training - most of the students are with behavioural problems or learning difficulties. However, teaching staff are not provided any in-depth training of SEN education. Therefore, they have very limited information or teaching strategies towards SEN students. Management sees training as not a necessity.
