Role as "Former Employee" is a Great Conversation Starter
Pros
People are mostly respectful of each other, and most of them do get things done in a reasonable timeframe. Often get perks like CNY/Mid-Autumn gifts, masks with company logos, gift cards etc.
Cons
Often forced to take part in "optional" local company activities like listening to the local President singing and wasting a lot of time (and money) to prepare for activities to suck up to local management. A lot of people working there have been around for a long time, thus it might take some time for you to get used to their working style. You have to tiptoe around certain things due to office politics. Limited career path for progression in terms of title. Made up of 95% locals so don't expect this to be a true MNC. Also, no salary increment for two consecutive years starting 2020 even when they kept boasting about how well business has been for APAC.
