Supportive teams and remote work, but HR issues persist

Pros

- Teams are supportive, making collaboration smooth despite geographical differences. - Able to working from home while nobody cares, as long as you are able to work. - Autonomy to choose which activities to participate in, accommodating different preferences, especially beneficial for introverts. - Group insurance is decent enough.

Cons

- HR in HK is lacking of politeness towards non-managerial staff, affecting team morale. - Incorrect MPF payments (paid extra AND paid less) and miscalculation of payroll highlighted HR's lack of attention to detail regarding mandatory employee benefits. - Little understanding or care regarding employee benefits like insurance, asking the staff to call insurance company instead. - Small office space and pantry area, drinks and snacks are getting less. - Layoffs happen twice a year in Dec and year-end in Jun

Poor Company Culture Post-Acquisition

Business Outlook

Pros

- The team at Itiviti is professional, efficient, and approachable. - Colleagues are supportive, creating a collaborative environment despite being spread across different countries. - Free flow of ideas, encouraging to improve anything in the company (before acquisition). - Some nice to have benefits like sports reimbursement, working from home and snacks in pantry.

Cons

- Small office space packed with staff. - HR reduced employee benefits and miscalculated salaries, unnoticed until employees discovered them on their own. Also overstepping into other teams without contributing meaningfully. - After the acquisition by Broadridge, there was a significant shift in company culture. Information was often "hidden" rather than shared transparently for job security. Managers didn't always have the full picture, leading to tedious procedures that hindered progress. The once-positive environment became toxic, lacking encouragement for improvement. This lack of transparency impacted trust and hindered progress within the team.
