Pros

High profile and complicated projects Passionate Engineers, some of them real gems Good exposure to work across a different spectrum of projects 40 year old company, so has a brand value

Cons

Western and Local /Asian employees not treated equally Big pay difference between local/Asians and Westerners Lack of focus / attention to detail on bidding Tendency to pick up only complicated work resulting in big losses Lack of commitment from the stake holders responsible for the success of the region Too many partners in Middle East and too less in Asia Pay review process and salary banding exercise on paper looks organised, but in fact is way off the market Design teams do not get a lot of support from partners/directors

Hello Thank you for your comments, we do take your feedback seriously and would like to expand on some of the points you have raised. The Middle East has always been a very important part of our practice and we are enthusiastic to see how positively that market is already responding to our leaner consultancy approach. Our Asia business provides much opportunity for us to grow providing some exciting challenges and potential for new leadership positions as a natural part of a maturing process. With change comes opportunity and this often requires patience, we are committed to working towards a sustainable and fair future for our projects and our people. The BuroHappold Team

Pros

Flexible work environment was great. They're pretty good on diversity.

Cons

Stressful work for sure, but I've heard it varies depending on your location. They do random layoffs.
