Pros

Good working environment and good coordination between teammates

Cons

What are pros and cons of joining Wipro as a fresher? I have joined Wipro as a fresher and I've been here since 3 years by feeling every moment to be out of it :). Pros will be same for all and Cons may vary in few scenarios. Pros: You will have an option to select your domain (SAP,JAVA,Dot Net...etc). Will get good theoretical and practical training in that domain for nearly 3 months. will be given enough attempts to clear it :) Cons: Once you complete your training even as a topper of the batch. In some cases you might stay on bench for years. You will get a project opportunity based on your fortune or any influence. If you are bench for long time then you will get a call from higher officials to search a project within a given period or quit. I still can't get how the hell a fresher can get a project with out any assistance. Now once you get a project, don't expect that you will be coding from day 1 or at least day 365. you will mostly have support roles you can see a rare case of developers. Once after entering into project if you don't like it and wanna quit project. Then you will experience Politics of IT industry. you'll have a hell of assessments every year which you might have never heard in any of the IT Companies.

Cons

This company is a sh** show. There are too many managers and less and less people to do the actual work. They have people that negotiate contracts and then expect the company to make money. In reality, most of the time the contract is basically giving the house away. It is the employees that suffer. When the contracts go south, they cut more people. Those people are then screwed over. Be warned!! If your position ends on the 25th of the month, your health insurance also ends on the 25th of the month. Note that the premium you paid, is not pro-rated, justifying the end of coverage on the 25th. You still pay the usual premium, which should then have your coverage run through the end of the month. If they can destroy a person, they will. They want more and more and more from their employees. While they preach all this mental health, work life balance, it's a sham. They have no regard for the well being of the employee, which carries over to the employee's family.
