Pros

The design team is talented, creative, and supportive — one of the few highlights of working here. The collaborative spirit among designers makes the work environment enjoyable on a peer-to-peer level.

Cons

Unfortunately, leadership and management are serious issues. The department manager on HTL, lacks relevant experience in womenswear and often micromanages, creating unnecessary stress and confusion. Constructive feedback is rare, and there’s a tendency to single out team members unfairly. At the company level, there’s also an unprofessional culture at senior management events — behaviour that crosses boundaries and makes some employees uncomfortable.

Pros

• Exceptionally talented and creative design team with huge potential. • Exposure to exciting product categories and well-known retailers. • Fast-paced environment that can be rewarding if you’re highly self-motivated.

Cons

• Extremely poor leadership under Carollan Ferriday. She often speaks about teamwork and communication but behaves in ways that divide rather than unite the team. • Clear favouritism, secrecy, and inconsistent messaging that lead to confusion, anxiety, and low morale. • Feedback is rarely constructive — often critical without offering direction for improvement. • Conflict is escalated instead of resolved, leaving staff feeling unsupported and blamed. • Very little investment in personal growth or progression unless you are part of her inner circle. • Creativity is stifled by micromanagement and an unwillingness to explore new ideas. • Since Carollan stepped into a senior role, staff turnover within the design team has risen sharply — talented designers consistently leave due to the toxic culture and lack of genuine support.
