Favoritism, AI Threats, and Mathematical Gaslighting
Pros
- The office is modern and looks great. It’s a nice environment for the "favorites" to enjoy their long lunches.
Cons
- The "20,000" System Trap: Management uses an internal man-day tracking system that is a complete joke. It is consistently used to "miscalculate" project costs—assigning 10 days of value to 3-month projects. They then claim these projects are "losing money" to justify poor appraisals and deny bonuses. It is a mathematical impossibility for fixed-salary staff to "lose money" this way, but it's used as a psychological tool to make you feel like you're underperforming. - Open Favoritism: There is zero effort to hide who the "favorites" are. The boss has even admitted it during the annual dinner. HR and other select groups get special treatment and shorter hours, while the production teams are ground down with OT. - Management by Intimidation: The constant threat of "AI will replace you soon" is a daily reality. The company is actively cutting staff because they believe AI is a magic bullet, leading to a toxic culture of fear and zero job security. - Bottom-Tier Benefits: The medical plan is a disgrace. $200 twice a month covers almost nothing in this market. It shows exactly how little the company values the health of its "human capital." - Pay & Bonuses: Compensation is below market, and bonuses are a "mirage"—always promised, always delayed, and eventually non-existent.
