Pros

Work life balance. Heavy invest in Information Technology. Very stable and rare layoff their employee. Helpful colleagues.

Cons

- Top down mangement, especially middle level management, they always guess what their boss want but not focus on how to make it better. - Lack of innovation, because the culture of entire department is always agree with your boss. - Most of management actually not underatand or outstanding in IT even they work for ISD, they get promotted only because they please their supervisor. - Treat people as a resource only. - Bad annual review, reviewer is your supervisor and they always consider relationship instead of your output.

Pros

- Massive investment in information technology. OOCL keep used most updated technologies such as cloud computing, big data and blockchain. -Intermediate supervisors and technicians have the excellent technical skill, experience, and knowledge. - After being acquired by COSCO, it becomes part of a state-owned enterprise and has more significant advantages in resources and the Chinese market. - Many of the employees are friendly, the office politics is not too serious, the work is stable and the working hours are not long. - Most employees are friendly, the office politics is not too serious, your job is stable and the working hours are reasonable. - Spend a lot on junior staff training. - They spend a lot on technology.

Cons

- The entire department is too divided into multiple functional teams, not products/project or businesses line. The result is bureaucracy, limited view and inability to maximize business value. - The replacement of management is too slow. Many higher-level managements have served for more than 20 years and still dominate the company's development after years of no results. - The evaluation of employees is outdated, and it is basically what the supervisor thinks of you, not what your output, insights or attempts change. - There is a problem with the HR management. They treat employees as screws, and they will not seek or keep talents. The salary level is average, and many excellent employees buried. - Top-down management, coupled with the arrogance and aging of management, has led to a lack of innovation and error correction. - This company did not combine the business department with its excellent IT department. That's why the digital transformation not yet success.

Cons

Workload overwhelming. Typical Chinese Company, do not consider if you do not like to be micro managed. Hierarchical organization, never able to contact with the upper management.
