Pros

I found that Quantspark offered some great paths for progression and promotions. The company truly invests in its employees' growth, it provided a pretty good learning budget that allowed me to take courses and attend conferences. I really did get to enhance my skills. This professional development is one of the standout features of working here.

Cons

One downside is that there were times I ended up working on projects that weren't my first choice. While the variety of projects could be exciting, it would be better to have had more say in the assignments to better align with my interests.

Pros

During my time at QuantSpark, I appreciated the well-organized technical documentation, structured policies, and the company's commitment to training and self-development. The talented and hardworking individuals contributed to an engaging work atmosphere, and the projects were interesting, addressing valuable problems. While my experience had its positives, every workplace has its unique dynamics.

Cons

While the training provided was good, the company lacked sufficient opportunities for professional growth. Team structures were either too large, leading to insufficient work for everyone, or too small, resulting in excessive workloads. The annual review focused on irrelevant issues to explain the lack of promotion or a salary increase, such as language proficiency (as a non-British individual) and public speaking skills, which were not pertinent to my role. Work-life balance was challenging, with staying late being praised, and a subtle expectation to work beyond the standard hours. Bi-weekly maintenance work scheduled after hours was uncompensated. The company proved unreliable, as they changed the remote working policy after hiring, and there were unexpected layoffs without ample warning. Unfortunately, my trust in the company eroded, despite the presence of talented individuals still contributing to the organization.
