Thank you for your review of Resource Solutions and calling out some of the great things Resource Solutions has to offer as an employer. However, we’re sorry to hear that your career experience has not been as wholly enriching as we’d have liked to provide. Your input on specific issues and accounts would be invaluable towards helping us achieve that goal - if you’re comfortable with sharing further details, please reach out to your local HR representative for a confidential chat. Here’s wishing you the best in your future career endeavours! Many thanks, Kirsty Adams Chief People and Culture Officer, Resource Solutions

Pros

Nice people and great business support team 20AL + but do you dare to use them as a salesperson?

Cons

* Very high turnover; if you don't perform, you leave, because you can't cover your cost (salary) * As a fresh grad, you are paid little and expected to perform before you learn. Everyone is busy and can offer so little time. You are expected to sell and meet clients in your first year and if you fail to do that or be liked by your manager, you are likely to leave once they find your replacement * Internal changes happen often. I have co-workers who realized their boss had changed upon their first day, and their specialization had changed upon hiring. * No transparency in the commission structure. You have to put up with manager taking 80% of your commission, but the base salary is decent and can vary greatly for one title. * Upon laid offs: Not compensated. They would convince you to "resign" on your behalf so the official reason is "resignation" rather than "termination," which looks better" on your profile. It is a cost-saving technique not to pay compensation. * Long hours. Leaving at 8 is usual unless you are a top performer.

Thank you for leaving a review, I’m glad you enjoyed working with your colleagues, we work hard to build a collaborative team culture. I’m disappointed, however, to read your cons; we’re proud of the training we provide to people who are new to the recruitment industry – we often see feedback on Glassdoor that the hands-on training and support we provide helps people build successful careers in recruitment and our learning and development programme equips people at every stage of their career to thrive in our high-performance culture. And whilst we understand that our team-based profit share model is unique in the industry, we believe it sets us apart from our competitors, ensuring that our clients and candidates receive the best service and that we can recognise our people for their full contribution to the team. Nonetheless we are always open to feedback – if you’d like, you can reach out to me at jasper.chan@robertwalters.com.hk to arrange a confidential discussion. Pros

They offer slightly better supports in terms of searching tools, administrative works and training. Not bad for fresh grads or someone with no experience working in other agency.

Cons

They are obviously going through a rebuilding phase now as they sacked a lot of ppl during covid. Bonus is devastating for especially experienced guys who bill well, they won’t even be bothered to justify it with an attitude of “it is what it is”. Lack of incentives, only one lunch club per quarter for those who billed over 1-mil hkd. The rest are bunch of coupons or tiny cash out. So ppl are not really cross-selling or sharing stuff at all due to the zero incentive system here. Culture very corporate, maybe better on the commerce team side but definitely quite uptight and boring on the financial team side. Not gonna badmouth anyone, but managers are mostly not giving too much damn of a lot of things as they are not supposed to be caring much apart from hiring new people for the firm.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. It’s great to hear about the positive learning and development opportunities you feel are available to our consultants. While I understand that our discretionary bonus is unique in the recruitment sector, it sets us apart from our competitors, and ensures that not only do candidates and clients come first, but that we’re able to reward our people based on everything they contribute as part of the team, not just what they bill. I am concerned to read about your experience with management and would appreciate discussing this in more detail. If you like, you can email me at tricia.tan@robertwalters.com.sg that we can arrange to have a confidential conversation. Tricia Tan HR Director, South East Asia & Greater China
