Pros

- You work with some really amazing and passionate peers - Good for developing soft skills - A lot of Company outings and events - Early responsibility - Supportive of Office Initiatives. Can make an tangible impact on other employees - The AlphaSights brand is growing stronger, enticing high calibre peers and increasing its value to future employers.

Cons

- Poor and immature office leadership. Lead by managers with no prior real working and leadership experiences, whom lash out at Analysts whom speak of the blunt reality of the business or critic the management style of the office - Micromanaging is deemed a skill and helpful for promotion opportunities - Long all consuming hours, particularly if you want to keep your compensation competitive - Poor compensation considering you will be working 12 hour days - Office politics already apparent - The type of work does not encourage any team work - Poor treatment of AlphaSights Alumni, similarly to lepers from the medieval era. Consistent bad mouthing of former employees in public breeds a poor attitude and culture which is also performed by the Managing Director. - Repetitive work, parallel to a glorified call centre

Pros

Rapid Progression & Recognition: Performance is directly rewarded here. If you hit your goals and show drive, the path to promotion and career growth is transparent and fast. Strong Team Culture: The team energy is fantastic. Everyone is highly collaborative, supportive, and commercially minded, which makes for a great working environment. High Autonomy: From day one, you are given real ownership over your projects (like leading recruitment events, managing candidates, and driving partnerships), allowing you to grow your commercial skills rapidly.

Cons

High Velocity & Pressure: The work is very fast-paced with strict timelines and high-volume expectations. It is not a place where you can coast, and you need to be comfortable working under commercial pressure. Resilience is Key: Sourcing and recruiting require a great deal of resilience. You have to be comfortable with rejection and persistent in finding creative solutions to hit your targets.
