With our iconic Polo Shirt serving as a blank canvas, we launched the Polo Project: Design for Good competition in May, inspiring our community to create its own interpretations of the timeless piece and select the favorite one. Out of hundreds of entries, Springfield, Illinois–based artist Michelle Smith captured the most votes with her poignant illustration of her son Micah wearing a mask with the word “Hope” in the background. Her design, now available as a limited-edition Polo Shirt, will have 100% of the purchase price go toward the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization. To further honor the shirt's message, and as a part of our pledge to address systemic racism and racial injustice, the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation is making a $25,000 donation to the UNCF (United Negro College Fund).
